 * 5/9/09 PLEASE NOTE, This Class Is Canceled:
I have just received the following email from Donald Tucker
******
I am very sorry to have to announce that due to a recent medical issue arising, I will not be able to conduct the "Introduction to Ferrocement Faux Bois" class in Colorado this August. I was just informed after undergoing surgery on Thursday, the 7th of April that more extensive procedures are necessary and that I will very likely be down for several months. And that's if everything goes perfectly.
I was really looking forward to teaching this class and hope that another at a later date will be possible.
My very sincere apologies to Paul Sarnstrom at the Ferrocement Educational Network as well as the good folks who have already signed up for that class, but this is just one of those things in life that you sometimes get handed without notice and just have to deal with.
My Sincere Regards & Thanks to all,
Donald R. Tucker

We hope to have Don back in the future but at present we don't know when.

FC Faux Bois
8/17/09 - 8/21/09
Hello,
I first came across the Garden Art Forum website three years ago and was immediately fascinated and impressed with Don Tucker’s FC Faux Bois work. This is some of the finest Faux Bois work I have seen. Even when viewed close up, the subtleties and nuances of texture and color lead one to believe they are looking at an old, weathered wood.
Examples of Don’s FC Faux Bois work may be seen at: The Garden Art Forum and On the Faux Bois Blog
Don spent years in study and experimentation to develop this level of skill and now, for the first time ever, he has agreed to teach the techniques he employs to produce this amazing work.
Note: I had the good fortune to facilitate the 2008 FC Faux Bois class. I was extremely impressed with Don's knowledge, experience and skill in Faux Bois and by his talent for communicating and teaching others from his many years of experience. At present Don is only teaching one FC Faux Bois class each year. So as to give maximum instructor/student interaction the class is limited to 15 students.
