[Ferro List] Basalt Fiber

As far as the insulation product goes it looks like what I know here 
in Australia as rockwool (which is much nicer to use than fibreglass).
But even better than that (as insulation) is a NZ polyester fibre 
(GreenStuf) made from re-cycled PET bottles.

I typed 'rockwool' into Google and got 1.12 million hits.

 From my limited knowledge of geology I suspect 'basalt' is as 
definitive of chemical composition as 'soil' is for making adobes. So 
company A's rockwool could be quite different from company B's.
