[Ferro List] optimal usage of materials

Valid point. I don't have the answer but I don't think its an issue. Primarily for the these two reasons.
1. Shotcrete pools use similar raw materials (concrete and iron reinforcement) and they don't have any problems. Maybe the thin FC walls are more easily exposed to the chlorine but I'm not sure.
2. FC pools exist extensively in Cuba (Paper presented by H.W. Rivas at Ferrocement: Proceedings of the Fifth International Symposium) and I haven't read anything about special care taken regarding chlorine.
Having said that I don't have any clue if I need to take any special care. Maybe some expert on the list could shed some light on this. But for health reasons I'm going to stay away from Chlorine in the pool and instead use some salt water treatment and UV filter. Maybe that will negate the problem?
Cheers,
Kosta

Kosta,
Sorry that I am not actually answering your question. I actually have
one of my own for you and the list. I was wondering if you plan on
introducing chlorine into the pool and if that might be a concern
because of possible corrosion of the steel reinforcement if the
chlorine diffuses into the FC wall?
Thanks,
Lyle
