I could see where a full depth pool above ground on a flat piece of property would be an eyesore, but have you considered a partial above ground, say four or five feet above ground? The hydrostatic pressure becomes much less on the sides, lessening the engineering considerably. Use the excavated material to create the above ground portion, and under deck...a pool on a little hill. .02cents - chris
