Here is a schematic of a methane digester: www.suscon.org/dairies/pdfs/digester%20sch . An increasing market for these should occur as they do create energy from crap, but what they don't do is solve any of the handling problems. Nothing just goes away or becomes harmless, and methane isn't the only gas produced. 
Ferrocement would be a great construction material for the various tanks, and digesters. Type 5 portland cement would be needed to combat the harsh environment here....possibly an epoxy liner would help too. - chris
