Considering that not only methane, but also some
hydrogen gas is produced (typically H2 - very small
molecules), I feel like proper sealing is a major
concern. Even the gas pressure isn't very high, so the
only relevant load would be the water (slurry) inside
the tank.

There might be another problem, and that is the low pH
(acidic conditions) at start-up of the digestion
process. Though that could be taken care of with some
wax, maybe the release agent from the molding process.
