I don't know what Mikey's supplier is, but locally Pool sand can be either Marble or Silica, it comes from Land Mountain Silica in Washington. I have a couple of tons of it...very fine 120, all the way down to dust sized particles, but nothing much bigger than sugar particles. If you want a sample, I could send some. transportation costs more than the sand, even within the state. Contact me on the side, if you do. - chris
