Hello All,
The FEN has been busy behind the scenes for the last 8 weeks attempting to
get all arrangements in place for this summer's FC courses.
I have recently updated the FEN website www.ferrocement.net with new
course information.
All the information for Donald Tucker's unique FC Faux Bois work is now on
the site. Don is scheduled for one course and possibly two if the demand
is great enough. This is the opportunity to learn from a master. Check out
the links to photos of Don's beautiful work.
Last year Rob O'Donnell taught a three day course in FC Sinks and
Countertops. Due to Rob's almost 40 years in the field three days of class
was not long enough so this year Rob will be returning to teach a five day
course on the subject. Follow the links on the FEN site to learn more.
Now for some disappointing news. Colin King was scheduled to teach an
introductory and an intermediate course in LFC [laminated ferrocement].
Due to a recent health issue Colin will not be able to travel to teach
these courses. There is a possibility that Colin will be teaching a course
in LFC in his home town of Corvallis, Oregon. All information concerning
updates on LFC courses will be posted to the FEN site as well as to the FC
listserv as soon as such information is available.
The FEN would like to facilitate adfditional FC classes this year and to
that end we have been in communication with one more FC artist. If you
know of someone in the FC field that you would like to see teach a course
please contact me paul at ferrocement.net and let me know.
I look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones during this
summer's courses.
thanks,
Paul
