[Ferro List] ACI Honoring Naaman

Starting this weekend is the Spring ACI conference.  Dr. Antoine Naaman is being honored for his many accomplishments in "..thin laminate composites."
That's ferrocement in my book.  My structural engineer friend is going but I cannot.  I hope someone from the list is going so they can give us some details.

Great work T.P. Singh on the documentation of the Crud test.  Your theory is a surprising posssibility.  With a wire reinforcing like grid-wire hardware cloth, movement from troweling or accidently bumping the armature with the wheelbarrel may cause this internal delamination when the composite is soft more so than it would if the reinforcing were inclusive of expanded metal lath.  The way the geometry of the lath causes the composite to key into it at a steep angle to the direction of the shell should help it resist it from pulling away if the reinforcing is jarred.
