Hi Paul & All,
This is one of the more complete manual that I've seen for the public domain. One of the many reasons for using the laminated process is to get full encapsulation of the mesh. Interestingly this group has solved this problem somewhat by using wire instead of mesh and using a slightly larger gauge wire than you would normally find in a flexible mesh. This allowed for the "holes" to be larger than than what is recommended, ("no hole larger than a pencil can penetrate"). I'm getting this just by looking at the pictures....as I haven't had time yet to do a real study of what is written. I also enjoyed the description of the form.
The manual got me to thinking on how one would do this with a laminated technique, and I think a roving machine could be produced for small tanks. A male mold on a mechanized turn table like a giant potters wheel, and a spool of wire to the side. Maybe it could even be worked out so that spraying and roving could be applied at the same time. - Chris
