Hi Marc,
Thanks for sharing your insight! Though I find it a little disturbing that evrybody seems to agree with me... unless he doesn't really know the subject! It almost sounds like the government invented a little scheme to get money out of our pockets in exchange for nothing. Not a plesant thought!
The problem or question for me now is, how do I make money off my invention, despite of this situation? If it were something not so evident and not so easy to copy by the average "John Doe" (yet very useful for him to have and therefore fabricate at home) I would just sell the instructions to build it.
Unfortunately, you could almost compare it to the wheel. As long as it hadn't been invented, people were suffering because it wasn't around. But as soon as it was invented, everybody understood it right away and copied it - without instructions. It was just too evident how it worked!
Well, my invention is almost just as evident when you see it. So the advice "sell the description and instructions" doesn't work here. But I would like to get something in return for what I came up with. How could I achieve that?
