Hello,
I am looking at two possible compressors for my shop and need to determine the need to calculate the breaker sizing, and wiring. From the information I have been given, can anyone forecast if the smaller compressor will work. Take into account that piping, hosing and aging will decrease compressor ratings, and that possibly stiffer mixes will be used than the tool manufacturer intended. The Tirolessa Sprayer wants 7.0 cfm @ 80 psi per the manufacturer. The manufacturer of the compressor gives the following ratings: 5 h.p. at 230 single phase @ 28 amp draw, and a 7.5 h.p at 230 single phase @ 40 amp draw. The 5 h.p. is rated at 17.2 scfm @ 175psi, and the 7.5 h.p. is rated 22.4 scfm @ 175psi. Anyone have enough compressor experience to translate this to a actual working forecast? The tank sizing I believe is 80 gallons, but if that is critical, then I can re-check. The compressor manufacturer (Quincy) is considered one of the best and made in U.S.A., and
I believe to be accurate in their ratings.
Thanks, in advance, chris
